Achtung!

Over on the right we have a nifty little sign that says something in German and that something is "Attention!". Actually it says a lot more than that, so if you can read German or if you have access to someone who's willing to stand around and translate a blog for you, then by all means enjoy the rest of the sign - the rest of us have better things to do and need to get on with our day. Which is a roundabout way of saying, "look further to the right of the sign and...behold: brand-spanking new, informational links!"

Both provide access to information on two key towns: Lambertville, NJ and (of course) New Hope, PA. These towns are mere minutes away from the wedding site and will be great places to find Hotels, restaurants, shops and shad fishermen. That's not a joke. They fish for Shad there. There's actually a Shad festival in Lambertville in April. Shad roe is delicious and a favorite dish of my Mum's. Let's move on.

The towns and the fishermen have both sat on opposite banks of the Delaware River for a while now and are connected by a steel bridge that accommodates both foot and car traffic. So if you find yourself staying in one town and feel the need to check out the other, or if you're simply in the mood to conduct a daring moonlight raid against the other town (happens all the time - ask the locals) it's a short walk. Or you can just swim if you're bold and unafraid of shad.
